The Society for Advancement in Science Technology Research & Arts (SASTRA) is a community-driven initiative committed to fostering scientific knowledge, innovation, and awareness among people of all age groups. Established with the vision of building a strong bridge between government institutions, research organizations, educational bodies, and local communities, SASTRA aims to create an inclusive platform that promotes science and technology in meaningful and impactful ways.
Science and technology are at the heart of national development. With the increasing number of government schemes and initiatives focused on innovation and outreach, there is a growing need for grassroots engagement. SASTRA is dedicated to serving this purpose by acting as a facilitator — connecting experts, institutions, and communities to bring scientific advancements closer to the people.

Our Mission
- To spread awareness and understanding of science and technology through educational programs and community outreach.
- To collaborate with premier organizations like ISRO, DRDO, NAL, HAL, BEL, Agastya Foundation, and others to bring science closer to society.
- To inspire and guide students and youth towards careers in science, research, and innovation.
- To provide access to scientific infrastructure such as labs, museums, and lecture halls at the local level.
- To organize seminars, workshops, public lectures, and awareness campaigns that make science accessible, engaging, and relevant to all.
What We Do
- Organize summer schools, mobile science labs, and public lectures to enhance science education.
- Conduct evening and weekend community awareness programs to engage the public on current scientific issues.
- Support educational institutions and individuals in implementing science-based programs.
- Facilitate access to scientific resources and mentorship opportunities for the younger generation.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration between academia, government agencies, and NGOs.
